Old Photos of Holyhead on Anglesey (Ynys Mon) in North Wales

Anglesey, Holyhead, Market Street - probably in the 1930's - showing Wilderspool Ales on the now demolished Queens Head Pub - and with vintage motor cars and a lorry.

Anglesey, Holyhead, Hebron Chapel Sunday School circa 1920 - The majority of the children and the lady in this photograph lived in and around Gilbert Street off London Road, Holyhead. The lady in the middle was Jane Roberts (known as Ginny Crydd), husband of Joseph Roberts. The little boy in the dark suit was Byron David Jones (born in 1917), who would later go to war in the Army, being awarded the Burma Star, and later worked on the railway. The little girl on the extreme left front would later marry and become Mrs Bagnall. The little girl to the right of her (as we look at the picture) would later marry and become Mrs Chambers. As Byron David Jones was my father-in-law I know he was a lifelong member of Hebron Chapel, and this is why we believe this was a group from that chapel.
