In 1842, along with Llechylched Church, the Holy Rood Church of Ceirchiog (otherwise known as Betws y Grog) was made redundant, and both were replaced by the Holy Trinity Church in Bryngwran - a brand new Church. As with Llechylched there is no church building remaining, only a little of the walls, and I suspect that the stone may have been used in the building of the new Church of the Holy Trinity at Bryngwran - as was usual in these cases.

Ceirchiog (or Betws y Grog) Churchyard had the exact same 1842 memorial (to the redundant church) stone cross as the one in Llechylched, only that this one is on the floor and broken.

Ceirchiog was once approached from the village of Engedi, but this route was split by the building of the A55 Expressway. Access is now through a far field - with permission of course.
