Anglesey, Llanrhwydrys, St Rhwydrys's Church - South East

The church of St Rhwydrys is in Cemlyn on Anglesey. One of the few churches these days that is always open during the day, and is kept in immaculate condition - well done to whoever is responsible.

The church is accessible via the coastal walk, but for those not up to the walk, which is a fair distance, I asked the farmer for permission to cross his land - and he agreed.

Anglesey, Llanrhwydrys, St Rhwydrys's Church - The gallery - carved with the date of 1776 - The initials MJH (not visible here) are of the Rector John Hughes, son of the rector of Llangadwaladr. The other initials are - as was the custom at that time - probably of the church wardens - and were probably Thomas Prys and Hugh Shadrach
