Downside Abbey is in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Somerset, and was built in 1876, with the Abbey Church added later in 1925. Downside Abbey is of the Benedictine Order, originally staffed by Monks from the Monastery of St Gregory's, Douai - in Flanders.
