Glamorgan, Treorchy Male Voice Choir ?

The above image is kindly shared with us from the collection of Mr Gareth Jenkins. Gareth writes: "This is a photograph of a male voice choir that I always thought was the Treorchy Male Voice Choir, but was advised that the photo was taken in front of a civic building in Treherbert. My Grandad Tom Jenkins - who was a miner - died before I was born, but I know he sang with them. My grandfather is the little guy in the front 1st row of seats 6th in from the right hand side

So, can anyone identify the choir, is it Treorchy MVC, and does anyone recognise the building, thought to be in Treherbert? And who was the solitary female in the picture, and what was her position in the choir? email me here.
