Rhondda Valleys, Ynysybwl. Poverty during the great strike of 1912 led to desperation, as this photo shows - men and a boy digging for coal on Darren Ddu Tip.

I have always considered Ynysybwl to be a part of the Rhondda Valleys - can someone enlighten or correct me? email me here.
