Since January 2015 we have added over 1000 additional old photos to the website, including many new pages of places not previously covered. I am constantly updating the website, and continue to hope you enjoy your visit.

website is a collection of old photos of the United Kingdom of Great Britain,
including old photos of England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the rest of the
British Isles, and the Republic of Ireland (which of course is not in the
United Kingdom). The website was initially launched as an aid to family historians
and genealogists, but has now gone way beyond that.
website was launched in July of 2005, with the intention of preserving old
pictures in perpetuity, and displaying as many images as we can of England,
Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the
Channel Islands. I hope those of you who are researching your family history
will find it of great interest.

Co Waterford, Waterford, The Quays - Tylers Boots are the best
of the photographs date from the 1890's and 1900's, and there are even older
ones than that. Most vintage photos and antique photographs in those days
were taken by photographers working for postcard companies, so many of these
are scanned from old postcards, some of the most interesting being from Victorian
and Edwardian times.

historical, Edwardian or Victorian pictures of England, Ireland, Scotland,
Wales or the rest of the British Isles, from the earliest years, and right
up to the 1960's, not only of the places you live or have lived, but also
your old family photos, then please do scan them for display and preservation
on this website. Please scan them in at a high resolution, preferably either
1280 pixels in width, or for portrait style photographs 1280 pixels in height.
