Elizabeth was crowned Queen Elizabeth II - Queen of England , following the death of her father King George VI, when Elizabeth was just 21 years of age.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has proven to be one of the greatest monarchs of the modern age, not least because of her love of the common people and her acute sense of duty. I am in little doubt that the monarchy may well not have lasted thus long, without Elizabeth at the helm.
