Elizabeth was crowned Queen Elizabeth II following the death of her father King Georg VI. Elizabeth was just 21 years of age.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has proven to be one of the greatest monarchs of the modern age, not least because of her love of the common people and her acute sense of duty. I am in little doubt that the monarchy may well not have lasted thus long, without her at the helm.

Together we can build a wonderful archives of these old images. If you have any old, vintage, historical, edwardian or victorian pictures of the Royal Family, from the earliest days of photography, right up to the 1960's, then please do scan them for display and preservation on this site. Preferably either 1024 pixels in width, or for portrait style photographs 1024 pixels in height.
