Newport, Aston Cresent Street Party - to celebrate King George V's 70th Birthday - June 3rd 1935.
It was also the Silver Jubilee of his reign.

The above picture is kindly shared with us by Mr. Christopher Wright, and includes his grandmother - Gertrude Elizabeth Wright - nee Peterson. Also in the photograph are Douglas Harold Wright - born in 1920 (Christopher's Father), Peter and Sarah Peterson (Great Grandparents), and probably
William Henry Wright (Grandfather) - who was Gertrude's husband. Gertrude Elizabeth Peterson was born 8th March 1894 at 92 Raglan Street, Newport, Monmouthshire in Wales, and married William Henry Wright on the 9th September 1917.
